The Sacrifice of Isaac

Archie Rand   -   Vayeira

An aerial view showing Abraham and Isaac a moment before the planned sacrifice. Isaac is depicted as a young man, lying naked and bound perpendicular to his father. Abraham is bent over backwards above/below Isaac, in an unlikely position to carry out the command. He raises the knife to strike and extends his other arm to support himself. In the red field above/below them are black markings, possibly representing the ram on the left and the ass and the two servants on the right.
