The Worship of the Golden Calf
The Israelites celebrate by singing, dancing and feasting after making their offerings to the golden calf. The golden calf is seen in the background, upon a tall pillar, surrounded by a circle of dancers. On a podium near the calf stands Aaron, who wears the priestly robes and beckons to the dancers.
