Psalter of St. Louis (Latin 10525, f. 20): The dreams of the chief butler and the chief baker
On the left: The chief butler and the chief baker sleep while sitting. Their dreams are illustrated above them: Above the chief butler a vine with three branches is blossoming. The chief butler squeezes grapes into a chalice. Above the chief baker there are three bread baskets. Three birds eat from them. Joseph`s head observes the dreams from above the third basket. The jail’s wall surrounds them.
On the right: Joseph stands before the seated chief butler and the chief baker and interprets their dreams in jail.
