Sister Haggadah (Or. 2884, fol. 4vb): Jacob’s ladder
Jacob lies on his back, raising himself up in wonder. Opposite Jacob a long ladder rises aslant from the earth to the heavens. At the top of the ladder appears a cloud in which are two heads, representing the divine assembly. One angel ascends the ladder; below, three angels, looking bemused, surround Jacob.
